Mission & Philosophy

Slow Current Wellness offers therapeutic massage and bodywork devoted to supporting women through every season of life, alongside gentle yoga practices designed for every body. 

 

I believe slowing down is a therapeutic act in itself. Rather than trying to fix the body, my work is centered on supporting it back into balance, allowing restoration to unfold gently and naturally over time. Healing, in my view, does not come from force or urgency, but from creating a calm and restorative space where the body feels safe enough to soften, rest, and reconnect with its innate capacity for healing.

Slow Current Wellness is rooted in the belief that each of us carries an inner slow current — a steady, regulating flow of energy beneath the noise and hustle of daily life. When we learn to reconnect with that current, the mind slows, the body softens, the nervous system recalibrates, and inner restoration becomes more possible. My work is devoted to guiding people back to that inner steadiness, supporting overall wellness through presence, intentional touch, and mindful movement.

Welcome to a calming space dedicated to women’s wellness, where both body and mind are supported with care and intention.

As a Certified Massage Therapist since 2011, my work is rooted in supporting women through the many stages and seasons of life. I offer a range of therapeutic modalities, including Light-Touch Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Prenatal Massage.

 

Each bodywork session is thoughtfully tailored to support women by creating a nurturing space to calm the mind, regulate the nervous system, ease pain and tension, and offer steady, grounding support through daily stress, hormonal shifts, pregnancy, postpartum, and the many transitions women may experience.

 

Sessions are available in downtown Petaluma, as well as house calls in Sonoma County. If you’re interested in booking a session with me or have any questions, I'd love to connect with you.

Yoga
Gentle Yoga & Restorative Movement

Gentle Yoga for every body - mindful movement to restore balance, calm the mind, and support whole-body wellness.

For the last 8 years, my yoga classes have been primarily focused on gentle yoga, restorative movements, and mindful meditation. 

 

I’m grateful to offer monthly gentle yoga classes as part of the Providence Cancer Wellness Program, which supports patients in navigating their cancer journey. I also have the privilege of teaching for the Northern California Functional Restoration Program, which supports patients navigating an injury or chronic pain. 

Through gentle, mindful movement and intentional breathing, students are invited to shift out of urgency and into balance. Rather than striving or forcing, each class creates a calm, supportive space where the nervous system can settle and the body can reconnect with its natural capacity for ease and restoration.
